Runners-up finish on the cards for the Red Devils

Watford head coach Javi Gracia will be without a number players for this clash. Stefano Okaka, Tom Cleverley, Younes Kaboul, Nathaniel Chalobah are unlikely to feature while Roberto Pereyra could return.

Jose Mourinho on the other hand does not have many injury concerns of his own with the exception of Sergio Romero, who is still injured. Romelu Lukaku is likely to be back for the Red Devils.

Liverpool vs Brighton and Hove Albion

Liverpool vs Brighton and Hove Albion | Anfield Stadium |

Key goals are in sight for both clubs

Adam Lallana has had a wretched run with injury and is absent once more with a hamstring problem, joining Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (knee) and Joel Matip (thigh) on the sidelines.

Joe Gomez (ankle) and Emre Can (back) both have chances to get back on the pitch before season’s end.

The Seagulls are almost at full strength, with only long-term injury concerns Isaiah Brown (knee) and Steve Sidwell (back) currently missing.

West Bromwich Albion vs Tottenham Hotspur

The penultimate fixtures for 2017/18

West Brom veteran Gareth Barry may have played his last Premier League match as he has been sidelined since February with a knee injury and won’t return this season, while James Morrison is also still recovering from a long-term Achilles problem.

For the Spurs, Danny Rose is optimistic of getting back on the park before season’s end following his calf strain, with Harry Winks (ankle) their only other player in the treatment room after Harry Kane’s recent return to action.

Stoke City vs Crystal Palace

Stoke City vs Crystal Palace | bet365 Stadium |

Vital three points at stake for desperate Potters

Paul Lambert could be without Eric Maxim-Choupo Moting, who is still struggling with a groin injury. Defender Kostas Stafylidis could also be out for Stoke.

Palace on the other hand will have a full squad at their disposal, with Englishman Connor Wickham possibly in contention to feature as well.

Newcastle United vs West Bromwich Albion

Newcastle United vs West Bromwich Albion | St. James' Park |

Magpies aim to cement top 10 finish

It remains to be seen whether Newcastle’s winger Christian Atsu will feature in this clash, while full-back Jesus Gamez remains out. West Brom’s Gareth Barry could be out for the rest of the season after undergoing surgery on a knee injury. James Morrison is also likely not to feature, but the enigmatic Nacer Chadli could make a return.

Liverpool vs Stoke City

Liverpool vs Stoke City | Anfield Stadium |

A critical match for both teams on the home stretch

Considering his extended layoff with a back problem, it’s little surprise Liverpool left-back Nathaniel Clyne has picked up a muscle strain that has him sidelined again.

He will be hopeful of coming back before season’s end, but it is looking increasingly possible that Emre Can (back) and Adam Lallana (hamstring) may join Joel Matip (thigh) in having played their final games for the 2017/18 season.

Stoke at least have a good injury record as they plot their great escape, with only Konstantinos Stafylidis and Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting currently sidelined.

Manchester City vs Swansea City

Manchester City vs Swansea City | Etihad Stadium |

The Citizens’ chance to regain home comforts.

Man City’s Benjamin Mendy remains out with a long-term injury, but Pep Guardiola will be pleased that the majority of squad will have a clean bill of health ahead of the clash with the Swans.

For Swansea, full-back Angel Rangel could return to the side, while the Swans’ on-loan midfielder Renato Sanches could also feature in this clash. Leroy Fer and Wilfred Bony are ruled out for the rest of the season.

Arsenal vs West Ham United

Arsenal vs West Ham United | Emirates Stadium |

A final London derby for both clubs in 2017/18

West Ham find themselves propping up the injury table at the time of writing with a league-high eight players sidelined, with little prospect of getting any back for this match.

Andy Carroll (fractured foot) and Michail Antonio (hamstring) are among the important Hammers manager David Moyes is unable to call upon.

The prognosis is a little better over at Arsenal. Granit Xhaka is expected back from a bout of illness, with four other teammates currently sidelined. It will be a good day for all if and when Santi Cazorla can finally overcome his wretched run.

Swansea City vs Everton

Swansea City vs Everton | Liberty Stadium |

A chance for the Swans to buy themselves some breathing room

Renato Sanches (hamstring) and Angel Rangel (groin) are nearing a return from their injuries, but this match will likely come a week or two too soon. The likes of Leroy Fer and Wilfried Bony, two players that surely could have helped Swansea this campaign, remain on the long-term injured list.

For the Toffees, Idrissa Gana Gueye is just about back to full fitness following the hamstring injury he suffered in March and he will be hoping for a clean bill of health after a series of injury and illness issues. Five of his teammates, including Gylfi Sigurdsson, are still some time away from returning to training.

Southampton vs Chelsea

Southampton vs Chelsea | St. Mary's Stadium |

The Saints’ chance to dig themselves out of the bottom three

Southampton should have a clean bill of health ahead of this game, which will greatly encourage new boss Mark Hughes. Another boost for the home side will be the return of striker Charlie Austin, who is slowly regaining match fitness and managed to play 82 minutes in the 3-0 defeat to West Ham. Austin tore his hamstring in the 1-1 draw with Huddersfield at St Mary’s back in December.

Following their disappointing 3-1 loss to Tottenham Hotspur, the return of several key personnel will steady the ship for the Blues. Thibaut Courtois, Pedro and Davide Zappacosta have reportedly returned to training and could feature against Southampton. Brazilian defender David Luiz remains out after being sidelined by knee and ankle injuries since the start of Feburary.

Manchester City vs Manchester United

Manchester City vs Manchester United | City of Manchester Stadium |

Time to celebrate on the blue half of Manchester?

Sergio Aguero, who so famously helped City win the league title back in 2011, would love to be back on the pitch for this game as he battles a minor knee injury. Likewise John Stones and Fabian Delph are due back for this fixture from concussion and a leg muscle injury respectively.

Daley Blind (ankle) and Phil Jones (hamstring) could be back in United’s defence for this match, while back-up keeper Sergio Romero remains sidelined with a knee problem. The rest of the Red Devils are fit and healthy as they attempt to silence those ‘noisy neighbours’ for another week.

Everton vs Liverpool

Everton vs Liverpool | Goodison Park |

A chance for the Toffees to inflict some damage on their hated neighbours

Everton have had a difficult run with injuries this season, with seven players currently on the injured list, including Gylfi Sigurdsson (knee), James McCarthy (broken leg) and Eliaquim Mangala (knee).

The international break wasn’t overly kind to Liverpool, with Andrew Robertson, Emre Can and Joe Gomez all returning to Anfield with knocks, although only the latter should be in major doubt for this match due to an ankle injury.

Otherwise the rest of the players are fit and firing, with Everton keeper Jordan Pickford and Liverpool duo Mohamed Salah and Jordan Henderson among those to impress for their respective national teams in World Cup warm-up games.

Chelsea vs Tottenham Hotspur

Chelsea vs Tottenham Hotspur | Stamford Bridge |

Spurs’ chance to cement a Champions League

The major blow for the away side is that they will be without hotshot Harry Kane, who suffered an ankle injury during Spurs’ 4-1 win over Bournemouth. The Englishman has been ruled out for a couple of weeks and will not feature in this one. Also, Spurs midfielder Harry Winks could be a doubt, after he withdrew from the the England U21 squad with an injury.

Ross Barkley has hardly featured for defending champions Chelsea since his summer move from Everton, but based on the hints which Conte has recently dropped, the Englishman could feature in some part of the game against Spurs.

Arsenal vs Stoke City

Arsenal vs Stoke City | Emirates Stadium |

Struggling Potters’ chance to do an unlikely double

Arsenal will be handed a huge boost, as manager Arsene Wenger recently revealed that French frontman Alexandre Lacazette could be back from injury after more than a month on the sidelines. Long term absentee Santi Carzola remains out, while it remains to be seen if Laurent Koscielny will return to the starting eleven.

On the other hand, Stoke remain largely been unscathed, with Xherdan Shaqiri having recovered from a minor injuries, and featuring in their 2-1 defeat to Everton. Mame Biram Diouf however, did not play any part in that match and there has been no indication whether he will play against Arsenal.

Liverpool vs Watford

Liverpool vs Watford | Anfield Stadium |

Plenty on the line in Reds’ top-four tilt

Right now, long-term injury victim Nathaniel Clyne is Liverpool’s only absentee from those in the running for a spot in the first team. He is also progressing from his significant back issue, now working on rebuilding his fitness base before he returns to action.

There are others - like young fullback Trent Alexander-Arnold and even goalscoring ace Mohamed Salah - who will want to bounce back from disappointing afternoons against Manchester United.

Sadly the news is far more bleak on the Hornets’ injury front, with a number of players including Gerard Deulofeu, Jerome Sinclair, Tom Cleverley, Younes Kaboul and Christian Kabasele among a host of players unavailable for action.

Arsenal vs Watford

Arsenal vs Watford | Emirates Stadium |

It can't get any worse for the Gunners … can it?

It would make Arsenal’s plight more understandable if they were struggling from a litany of injuries, but that is not the case.

Striker Alexandre Lacazette is recovering from a knee complaint and Nacho Monreal is nearing full fitness after a back issue. Apart from long-time injury victim Santi Cazorla, the rest of the Gunners are fit, if mis-firing.

Watford, meanwhile, have one of the league’s worst injury lists, with a host of players with no set return from various ailments. There is some good news, however, with defender Craig Cathcart nearing a return from a knee injury sustained in August last year.

Manchester United vs Liverpool

Manchester United vs Liverpool | Old Trafford |

Old foes meet again with incredibly high stakes

Six United players are currently sidelined through injury, including Anders Herrera, Phil Jones and Marcos Rojo, while Marouane Fellaini is still on the long-term injury list with a knee injury. But with the rest of the squad given three days’ break this week, they should be fresh and firing to take on their old foe.

Jurgen Klopp’s side is enjoying a good period of health at the moment, with the likes of Nathaniel Clyne and Alberto Moreno recently returning to training after overcoming previous injury issues, and the manager has virtually a full squad to choose from.

Manchester City vs Chelsea

Manchester City vs Chelsea | Etihad Stadium |

The Citizens' chance to leave Chelsea singing the Blues

Ross Barkley, Tiemoue Bakayako and David Luiz missed out on Chelsea’s last game with Manchester United, and it remains to be seen whether they will be fit in time for the clash with City.

Midfielder Fernandinho has been ever-present for Manchester City this season, but will be a doubt to face Chelsea - having picked up a hamstring strain in the EFL Cup final. Benjamin Mendy remains out with a long-term injury. Fabian Delph is also ruled out of this game due to a suspension after getting sent off in City’s FA Cup fifth round defeat to Wigan.

Liverpool vs Newcastle United

Liverpool vs Newcastle United | Anfield Stadium |

Another important step in the Reds' top-four pursuit

Georginio Wijnaldum should be available for selection for the hosts after missing the weekend’s West Ham game through illness, while Nathaniel Clyne won’t be rushed back into action after finally returning to training following the back complaint that has kept him out all season.

Newcastle have a terrible record at Anfield, with their last victory there coming back in 1994, but they do at least have a relatively clean bill of health for the south-west journey.

Arsenal vs Manchester City

Arsenal vs Manchester City | Emirates Stadium |

Can the Gunners arrest their alarming slide?

Frontman Alexandre Lacazette’s knee injury is a big blow for the Gunners as the Frenchman has been ruled out for at least a month. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang had an early chance in the League Cup final saved and is still finding his feet in Arsenal colours. Santi Cazorla remains out with a long-term injury.

City’s long term casualty is fullback Benjamin Mendy who ruptured an anterior cruciate ligament in September and is still on the road to recovery. Gabriel Jesus made a welcome return to action from the bench in the Cup final, having recovered from medial collateral damage suffered against Crystal Palace on New Year’s Eve.

Manchester United vs Chelsea

Manchester United vs Chelsea | Old Trafford |

The battle for second place between heavyweights

Conte will not be too worried about his side, as most of his key men will feature against Manchester United. But new winter signing Ross Barkley remains injured, with David Luiz and Tiemoue Bakayoko still out.

Mourinho on the other hand has more to moan about, with Phil Jones, Marcos Rojo, Marouane Fellaini and Zlatan Ibrahimovic all on a lengthy injury list.

Manchester City vs Leicester City

Manchester City vs Leicester City | Etihad Stadium |

Opportunity for the Citizens to get back to winning ways

Defender John Stones did not feature for City against Burnley but should be back in time to face Leicester. But even if Stones does somehow miss out, Guardiola also has new signing Aymeric Laporte. Gabriel Jesus, Leroy Sane and Benjamin Mendy remain out for City, having sustained longer-term injuries. It remains to be seen if Fabian Delph and David Silva will be in the squad to face the Foxes, having missed out on the Burnley game due to injuries.

The big miss for Leicester could be Algerian winger Riyad Mahrez, who was ironically linked with a big-money deadline day move to the Citizens. Frustrated after being denied the move, the tricky winger has reportedly skipped training a number of times since. It remains to be seen if he will be back to face Man City.

Tottenham Hotspur vs Arsenal

Tottenham Hotspur vs Arsenal | Wembley Stadium |

Last-chance saloon for the new-look Gunners?

Both teams were busy in the closing hours of the transfer window, with Arsenal sending Olivier Giroud to Chelsea and landing their prized target, fellow striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Borussia Dortmund.

The prolific Aubameyang will no doubt take a little while to adjust to English football, but will quickly win over the fans if he can get on the scoresheet against their arch-rivals.

Tottenham brought in PSG winger Lucas Moura and will be hopeful he can provide Harry Kane with the support he needs to push Spurs further up the EPL table.

Liverpool vs. Tottenham Hotspur

Liverpool vs. Tottenham Hotspur | Anfield Stadium |

An old fashioned ‘six-pointer’ in the fight for Champions League football

Manager Jurgen Klopp has proven he is happy to remain patient rather than buy for the sake of it, but if the Reds suffer injuries or a sustained run of poor form, the critics will surely start sharpening their knives.

At the time of writing, Liverpool had sold and loaned out attacking threats Philippe Coutinho (Barcelona) and Daniel Sturridge (West Brom) respectively without bringing in any replacements.

They face a Tottenham side that looked like a Premier League title challenger early in the season before falling well off the pace set by Manchester City. Toby Alderweireld is still fighting a long-term hamstring injury and fellow defender Danny Rose (knee) also remains in the treatment room.

Arsenal vs. Everton

Arsenal vs. Everton | Emirates Stadium |

Gunners out to prove that a top-four finish is still a possibility

Everton will be without James McCarthy, who recently underwent surgery on a broken leg. Another long-term casualty is center-back Ramiro Funes Mori.

The Toffees have bolstered their squad in the transfer window, with the signings of Cenk Tosun and Theo Walcott. It remains to be seen if Danny Welback will make the Arsenal squad to face Everton, while Santi Carzola remains out for the Gunners.

Manchester United vs. Huddersfield Town

Manchester United vs. Huddersfield Town | Old Trafford Stadium |

A chance for the Red Devils to recover from their red faces

Both teams have decent injury reports, outside of long-term knee injury sufferers Zlatan Ibrahimovic (United), Elias Kachunga and Jon Stankovic (both Huddersfield).

Terriers coach David Wagner is aware of the need to rotate his squad, with the likes of Aaron Mooy rested for last Saturday’s FA Cup draw with Birmingham, which leaves them facing a replay following the trip to Old Trafford.

As is usually the case with football, if Sanchez can find his top form in a Red Devils shirt, all the chatter will soon fade away. Adding a little added spice to this match-up, United will face either Huddersfield or Birmingham in the fifth round.

The fallout from Alexis Sanchez’s staggering £500,000-per- week move from Arsenal has continued, with reports ranging from David Beckham lauding the move as a masterstroke by his former club to unconfirmed mutterings that some United players are unhappy with the Chilean’s exorbitant wage.

Tottenham vs. Manchester United

Tottenham vs. Manchester United | Wembley Stadium |

Difficult away battle for Red Devils

Spurs missed goalkeeper Hugo Lloris and in particular the creativity of midfielder Christian Eriksen in an underwhelming 1-1 draw away to Southampton. The duo were suffering from an illness and according to Pochettino, there were other players who were affected but still featured in the game.

Should that duo recover for this game, it will be a big boost for the Londoners, who could also welcome back centreback Toby Alderweireld from injury.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Eric Bailly will continue to miss out due to long-term injuries, while it remains to be seen whether Daley Blind will be fit enough to face Spurs after being ruled out due to a minor injury before the 1-0 win at Burnley.

Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez should be in the Manchester United squad and the Red Devils could possibly have him in the team to face Spurs - which will be a very worrying prospect for their opponents.

Huddersfield vs. Liverpool

Huddersfield vs. Liverpool | John Smith’s Stadium |

Can the Reds quickly return to winning ways?

Liverpool’s unique ability to leave their fans scratching their heads resurfaced this week, after the Reds followed a stunning victory over previously undefeated Manchester City by capitulating to rock-bottom Swansea City.

That has given Arsenal and particularly Tottenham fresh impetus in the top-four race, so Jurgen Klopp’s men won’t want any more slip-ups against lower-ranked opposition here.

Huddersfield have a relatively clean bill of health, while Nathaniel Clyne (back), Jordan Henderson (hamstring) and Alberto Moreno (ankle) are among those sidelined for Liverpool at the time of writing.

After a solid start to their first Premier League campaign, the Terriers have been in a slump, with their last league win coming against Watford back on December 16.

Three draws were then followed by defeats to Leicester City, West Ham and Stoke, leaving Huddersfield just two points above the relegation zone, although defender Scott Malone expressed his confidence this week the Terriers will retain their top-flight status.

Swansea vs. Arsenal

Swansea vs. Arsenal | The Liberty Stadium |

The Swans Eye Another Scalp

Arsenal’s unlikely star in their 4-1 win over Palace was defender Nacho Monreal who netted one goal and assisted two before being substituted after just 34 minutes due to a kick to the back of his hamstring. With Wenger later revealing that the substitution was precautionary, Monreal is likely to return to face Swansea. Olivier Giroud and Santi Carzola remain out for the Gunners.

New signing Henrikh Mkhitaryan should be available for the Gunners after making the switch from Manchester United in exchange for Alexis Sanchez.

Swansea striker Tammy Abraham could return after missing a number of games - including the Liverpool triumph due to a hip injury. Renato Sanches, who has been disappointing since his loan move from Bayern Munich, could also be back in contention.
